Forgotten series: Les McCann, "On The Soul Side" (1994)

NICK DERISO: Pianist Les McCann is something of a could-have-been Horace Silver -- but with an even more soulful release.
Witness the aptly titled "On The Soul Side," on MusicMasters: His playing is a spontanous gestalt of funky, almost stride, riffs and airy hung-back precision. It's a shame the rest of the band is occasionally so rote.
WE'VE MOVED!: Dablog by DaSlob is now ... SOMETHING ELSE. Find the remainder of this review through the new link.

What is it with you yanks?
The Beatles already did a follow up to LET IT BE!, And what is that you ask with baited breath?
It was called "Abby Road", made, produced, edited and released after LIB quite happily and cohesively to make up for the mish-mash that Let It Be became, so it was only then it was so did the fab four, go on their own ways and yet they did not really ever because they were all there together on 1974's Album RINGO, and were set for a reunion had Lennon not been murdered on December eighth, nineteen hundred and eighty.
